should have a bonus that counts men vs men in the tile. thus if a FC unit of 4 is attacked by a unit of 8 there is a attack bouns 2 to one , So three units of peasants swarm a unit of Knights 24 to 4 they out number 6 to 1 , this would be in addition to flanking and rear charge bonuses


now the FC because of their martial abilities should be able to take on twice their number and negate the bonus of one man against two.

it was true that due to the heavy armored knights the only ways they were defeated was to be swarmed and knocked over and pinned so that a spear could be inserted between the chinks of the armor. having a rule set that allows for the actual numbering to give a bonus make sense.
