the leveling the ideas of the original Exillis computer rules came from the online gaming world and never really worked for tabletop miniatures. I'm hoping the book rule system will correct this. the current system is 15 levels in increments of 5 , going up to level 75

In massive online gaming as you level up you aren't allowed to fight players below or above a certain level so everybody's really playing a relatively even game.

In tabletop miniatures you can field a few high level units or a mass of low-level troops and still have a game that can go either way.

In historical miniatures Tabletop gaming it's usually about four levels of martial ability, in fantasy environments it's mostly around 10 levels. ( RPG tabletop functions similar to massive online gaming in that as you level up your usually fighting monsters at the same level or a few levels below or above depending upon the difficulty of the encounter.)

I have always wanted Exillis to contract the levels dramatic Ray's inability stats, if done very slowly and incrementally. it makes for a more balanced game

If we take the current leveling system and just divided by five you will have 1 to 15 levels. if you then reduce the stat changes, for example on every odd number hit ponits go up on every even number damage and morale sensitivity goes up. Thus a you could have a battle with all sorts of levels and still have a combat matrix that allowed each to fight each other.

it would be a simple change to level down in the computer game to match the rulebook game so levels would be the same level.
