I have fluff on three armies

Jewish , Scottish and the Serpent King (Lucifer army)

I kind of hope that some how there will be a custom hero modifier before I write out the whole story .

But here is the Jewish army, cliff notes (short version) are as follows:

As with every Papal Inquisition the one in 1250 the Jewish people were included in the killing lists and witch hunts. Indeed the Jews were blamed by many in Europe as the ones who opened up the rift between the worlds and brought the mists and its creatures. they claim that a Jewish passover of 1249 which supposedly hundreds of children across Europe disappeared were used in a blood ritual to bring darkness to good Christian people*. Many were slain, but many Jews fled to the smaller villages in the country side This in a way turned out to a blessing as when all the major city's in the known world crumbled in 1309 they were already established in the smaller hamlets and towns which was the only livable places left in the known world.

In every land where they were scattered throughout Europe many Jews hide there identity and enlisted in the armies of that country they were living in. So there were Jewish
soldiers in every unit in the exillis world except the sergants .

when the Papal rule was broken in 1290 and governments started to crumble no major power was left to persecute the Jewish people. There arose in 1307 Barch Abraham shlomo , a fiery Rabbi that went from village to village calling on Jews to fight against the slaughter and to restore safety to the good people.

As only small towns and village were left in the chaotic world of Exillis when ever a war band was passing through that area, they would take what they wanted in food and women, pushing people out of the homes taking there live stock, then moving on. it was a sad cruel world.

In 1294 Barch Abraham Shlomo and a group of brave young Jewish peasants held off a English war band and saved a small village from rape and pillage. This brought Him instant fame and he was called the Mad Rabbi from that day forward . From all over Europe Jews came as the story grew into a legend, with each telling from mouth to mouth, the brave deeds of the Mad Rabbi grew to legendary size so the true account of the battle and the one told in song are quite different**.

Jews hiding out as French Knights came from France and from every quadrant men here and there came and formed up units of all Jewish long bowmen ,billmen. ectt. .. Men ready to die for the Mad Rabbi. The Mad Rabbi who Kabbala magic could summons earth golem's ( soffrances) and fire klipot (yimps) .who could read Torah verses and send fear into the heart of the enemy. From town to town they went protecting small hamlets and villages from the war-bands that roved the country side looking for glory in battle.

Because the Mad Rabbi would protect not just the Jewish people in the villages but the whole village, and because they would pay for there food and never steal from the people. Peasants in every village volunteered to defend there village and many units of Vileins would be found in the Rabbis muster because they were defending there town, they had great courage for peasants and some units would fight to the last man.

No mercenary units would fight with the Rabbi's war band and he was hated by all the nobles they were left . indeed there was a price on his head for any war band that could kill him and those pesky Jews that were ruining the pillage of villages that were there for the taking. Only the sergeants were found to enlist with them they liked him for his fierce heart and defiance against great odds, so they would enlist for with him for 1/2 the cost they would charge other army's for there services.

Where ever a small village is threatened by an approaching war band, a large rams horn is desperately blown in hope that it will be heard by those " inglorious Bastards" of the Rabbis war band.

They prefer not to kill whenever possible, instead there tactic is to discourage fighting using both there strong moral and the legendary stories about them to intimidate playing on the fears of there enemy. the Mad Rabbi's war-band always prefers to see the enemy running away and rethinking there warmongering life, then their blood split on the battle field. After every battle they morn for the dead, both theirs and their enemy's and long for the day when all can live in peace.

* even though it was later found out that the kids were stolen by gypsy caravan traveling through the country side who were going to sell them in the slave market in Africa the Gypsy's were caught and kids return home but the Jews were still blamed as most believed that they controlled the Media .

** from the songs of battle in the chronicle of the Mist wars

Rabbi oh Rabbi come to our town,
free us from the snarling hound .
come so we can gain back our ground
come so we can again be found (repeat two times)

2000 English solders hungry for a feast
marched on a poor hamlet in the east
But from the roof top down he came
who cares if he was utterly insane .
a 100 men no more than boys
ran with him into the noise .
the clash of battle the rumble of feet
so swift were the Jews angry heat .

Rabbi oh Rabbi come to our town,
free us from the snarling hound .
come so we can gain back our ground
come so we can again be found (repeat two times)

The English General all shiny in mail
saw his great warriors falling like hail
before the light of the setting sun
all of his men were on the run .

Rabbi oh Rabbi come to our town,
free us from the snarling hound .
come so we can gain back our ground
come so we can again be found (repeat two times)

Now we are free to walk our fields again
now we see the power of a Jewish Friend
let the horn be sound whenever there is fear
knowing that the Mad Rabbi is always near

Rabbi oh Rabbi come to our town,
free us from the snarling hound .
come so we can gain back our ground
come so we can again be found (repeat two times)

i will have some soon, but with all the stuff to read on the wiki first, it may take a bit. Also, we're still sorting out a bit which models will be in my main army. I know a bit about my two heros.

I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to literature, and I have a particular hatred for the writing that makes its way into the world as fan fiction, but I'll try my hand at writing some fluff somewhere down the line. I also worry that I will have difficulty writing fluff for my units which will mesh with the universe and history of Ex-illis, but it probably won't prove very difficult at all.

Well, as a prospective BEK I've painted my first starter to match the demo kits they've sent around (more or less) so my army lacks a sort of unifying theme at the moment. But I occasionally want to write fiction just for the sake of playing in/with their world. I don't know how they'd look upon that though, since I'm inclined to paint everyone as selfish, and the whole universe is shades of grey to me from angels to demons... No real evil, no real good, but simply selfishness and a fight to survive.
