Hello,
Finally got a few pics of my first painted model. The Decurion. Check out this link for more pics.

I think he turned out okay. Let me know what you think. I am still working on my tiles and just have a little base painting to finish my Ympes. Could have them up tonight.

Thank you very much. I will continue to post pics of my army as I go.

I should have the 10 Ympes up later tonight. Not sure which I plan to work on next. Any suggestions. Otherwise I will just go with what is pulling me the most. Maybe I will go back an forth and do one unit from each side of the Small Demo, so that each player has an equal amount of painted figs. Or I could do the Billmen, since they go with the Decurion.

Time will tell I guess.

I love the battle worn armour and blood spattering on the wings. What type of flock did you use for the grass, it looks very realistic. Great job

Thank you.

The base is just a mixture of sand/very small gravel and the larger rock like pieces are broken up cork and then I paint it. There is no true "flock" on the base.

Just finished my Decurion as well. I'll place a pic here instead of starting a new thread, but I can remove it if you want too. Just let me know;

Did you prime in black or white? I can't tell, but I like your results.

I primed black as well, but I don't feel like mine turned out as bright as yours. I also like your photo ability.

Thank you again. I feel pretty good about how it came out. It's hard to tell in the pic, but my primer was acting up and I wasn't always getting a good even coat. I got it where it flecks on some and kind of sits on the model like dust granules. So It makes it hard to get a real smooth coat of paint on afterward, it's ends up looking fuzzy sort of.

Oh well. On to the Billmen tonight I think, and the tiles, and posting the pics of the Ympes. He he.

I need to think of a name for my "force". I want to start just one thread for the whole army, to keep it all in one place. Time to think about background I guess.

My theme will be split in half. My english looking soldiers, hoblars, longbowmen, billmen etc will be modeled after the army of Edward the 1st. Haven't picked a Faction off the map for the French soldiers yet, but I will.

Keep us posted on the pics
